About Sutivan

 

Sutivan settlement dating from the 15th c. and except religious buildings has several interesting architectural renaissance and baroque summer houses. There you can find preserved foundations of the early Christian church within which renaissance church of St.John was built in 1579. The baroque tower is next to it.

 

In the church, there is the altarpiece of Our Lady of the Rosary, production of medieval Italian schools from the 17 century. Along the coast, there is the castle of the family Marjanovic (1777), with a sun clock on the front. The house Božičević-Natali is from renaissance and from the baroque there is the mansion with gardens owned to poet Jerome Kavanjin, the gardens of the family Ilic. Definis House has a collection of furniture and art objects from the beginning of the 19. c.
